Carbon Electrode
• Volume density: ≥ 1.45 g/cm³
• Resistivity: ≤ 55 μΩ·m
• Compressive strength: ≥ 22 MPa
• Ash content: ≤ 8%
• Thermal expansion coefficient: Low, resistant to thermal shock
Description
Carbon electrode is made from petroleum coke and coal pitch. It features good electrical conductivity and high-temperature resistance. Widely used in submerged arc furnaces for smelting ferrosilicon, calcium carbide and yellow phosphorus. It can be self-baked during operation with cost advantages.
